One of the things that annoy me the most about the Internet is that so many times I get a form sent to me that is a PDF file. And I get instructed that I need to fill out the form and return it. But I didn’t have any way to edit pdf files to be able to fill out the form and return it. And that would get very annoying – I would print out the form, fill it out by hand, then scan it with my scanner into my computer as a jpg and then email it back to wherever it needed to go.
What I didn’t know until recently was that I needed a pdf editor software to be able to do that. Apparently that software is not something that comes auto-installed on computers when you first buy them.
I think that should be a standard software program installed on every new computer. The ability to do a pdf conversion from word to pdf and from pdf to word seems to be something that everyone that uses the Internet is going to need to be able to do.

Last night I was in the mood to snack. I don’t know why, I just seemed like I couldn’t get full! And it didn’t make any sense to me at all because I had eaten plenty of protein, which sticks to my ribs better than anything else. I don’t know, maybe I was just bored, or stressed. All I know is that my stomach was growling at me and I felt hunger pains that just would not stop! I was going nuts trying to find something to eat that would not be terrible for me. Cookies and chips were calling out to me; it was so hard to resist! And I know that experts say to eat fruit, but that makes me even hungrier!
So I scrounged around the pantry and found some microwave popcorn that had been sitting there a long time. It had a “best if used by” date on it that was over a year old. I considered throwing it away, but then I decided I’d pop it and see if it smelled or tasted bad; if so, then I’d toss it away. Well, I think it had a few more “old maids” than normal, but not bad, and it tasted just fine. And today I’m alive and well, so I guess maybe today I’ll eat that second bag of expired popcorn!
The key to smart investing is to diversify your investments. As the old wise adage goes “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” It’s long been known that when the stock market goes down, precious metals go up. Right now the stock market is down, so gold and silver is rising again. I remember back in the 80’s when that happened too. People were taking their silver and gold wedding gifts to the local dealers and trading them in for cash because they could get more for them than they had been worth when they were brand new! Beautiful jewelry and household items being sold for its weight value to be melted down. Rather sad, I think.
I’d rather invest in a gold IRA where you buy gold coins and put them in a special IRA gold account. Or similarly invest in gold 401k and put them in a 401k gold account. In the long term, the value will increase and help out your retirement plans. I just recently learned how to put gold in an IRA and which coins can legally be put into an American IRA or 401K plan. If you would like to learn more about how to do that, check out the goldcoinsgain.com website – it is full of information that can help you.
I was just reading an article on the Internet that the secret recipe for the KFC original recipe for their famous fried chicken may be “out.” It’s going to be published soon in a book about recipes that are clones of famous restaurant recipes. My wife cooks fried chicken using a recipe from the back of a Bisquick baking mix box called Oven Fried Chicken and I have to tell you it tastes like KFC to me! And being baked in the oven instead of deep fat fried it has to be better for you than KFC! Try it, I think you’ll like it! It is one of our favorite family dishes!
We got a phone call from Aunt Ellen this morning. She’s invited us to come spend a few days with her at her camp on the lake. I spent a lot of boyhood summers down on that lake, and so I jumped at the chance to go again. There is great fishing and boating, and I like the remote location. Even though her camp has all of the modern conveniences, it is decorated with a rustic charm that gives you the “feel” of being in the wilderness, which I love!
Aunt Ellen cautioned us not to arrive before she does because she is going to have to disarm her new Home Security Surveillance System before we go in. If she doesn’t go in ahead of us, her Home Security system will call the police on us, and no one wants that! She said that she gets charged for false police alarms! And we certainly don’t want to have to try to explain to the police that we were invited relatives! After all, with the recent news story about that poor guy getting arrested for trying to get into his own house is enough to make anyone nervous!
Aunt Ellen had been talking about getting one of the new Home Security Systems installed at her camp because she was concerned that there had been so many break-ins in that area that she was afraid that her camp was going to be hit pretty soon. I think it was a wise decision to make.
