My brother Tim has a good friend Bill that lives in North Carolina. He has been telling me that he wants to go visit him for a short vacation and has asked me if I’d like to go with too. He wants to rent an RV and stay in an rv park north Carolina. Bill’s wife has recently died and Bill has been inviting us to come spend a few weeks fishing with him. So Tim has been talking with Bill about which of the nc rv parks would be the best one to stay in.
We haven’t quite decided if we want to stay in a rv park nc near where Bill lives, or have Bill join us and go someplace further away than his house and have a “get away from it all” vacation. We think that getting Bill out of the house might be a good idea, and a fishing trip might just be the spirit-lifting he needs to start getting on with his life.
Today my niece came over for a visit and I was trying to think of something to do with her. I decided to take her for a scenic drive and we ended up at a local winery that happened to be holding a wine tasting event. We actually pulled over and into the parking lot to just take some pictures of the scenic vineyard, and she decided that she would like permission to try to taste one of the grapes on the vines that we saw. So we went inside the winery to ask, and found that they were offering free samples of their wine. Although they told us that the grapes had been sprayed with something that we should not consume, we did manage to have some free samples of their wine, so all was good!
Let’s face it. We’ve been spoiled. And we’ve been spoiling our kids. We have not done a good job of teaching them (or practicing) the principles of delayed gratification. This economy has been running on credit for too long and now a lot of us are in trouble because we have taken on more credit than was prudent. Now that the economy has taken this turn for the worse, many of us are finding that we need to find a way to perform credit repair. We have been blindly been going along just spending money on our credit cards, trusting that we would have the money to pay the bills. Then suddenly we lose a job, or don’t get the raise we expected and find ourselves in trouble.
We find that suddenly we have bad credit, and we need to find a way to improve credit ratings. So we have been turning to credit repair information resources in our attempts to get that taken care of. The sad reality is, though, that if you get a copy of your credit reports and find that all of the credit statistics are true, then the only way you can fix it is by paying your bills on time! Looking for a magic wand to fix it is simply a waste of time.

I was so very disappointed that Scotland let that terrorist bomber free for “humanitarian” reasons. They guy bombed a plane that killed hundreds of people! I think that letting him out of jail because he is dying of cancer is a huge mistake. I think that he is going to simply become a suicide bomber now. After all, what has he got to lose? Not much! And what does he have to gain? His martyrdom and all those virgins in “heaven.” I think that letting him go was a HUGE mistake!
I think that Online Trading is rapidly becoming the most convenient way to get involved in Stock Trading. I like having an Online Broker because I don’t have to worry about trying to reach him/her when he/she is “in the office.” Usually when I buy stocks online I can simply send a message, either through the company website, or via email to do whatever it is that I need done. I especially like having access to a lot of information right at my fingertips.
Gone are the days when you had to rely on the good nature of the stock broker downtown, sitting in his little brick and mortar office, hoping he wasn’t giving you the runaround and charging you exorbitant commissions. Online Trading has really made it easy for just about anyone to buy and sell stocks without spending a lot of money on fees and commissions. This is definitely one of the benefits of the “information age.”
