Eat, sleep and drink statistics

I remember the summer of 1992, when I decided to take a summer course in Statistics.  I didn’t think it would be a hard course, I have always done well in math.  What I didn’t realize, though, was that this summer course was going to be so time consuming.  In seven weeks we completed a sixteen week course.  Complete with ten hours of homework every week.  With classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and five hours of homework to get done on Wednesday, and working a full time job on top of that, I was hard pressed to actually enjoy my summer that year!

 

Things would have been a lot easier for me then if I had been able to get the Statistics help online that is now so easily available to today’s Statistics students. There is a website that can answer a student’s Statistics questions and help them to solve their Statistics problems. Kids sure have a lot more tools at their fingertips than I had when I was in school!

The Issue of Today’s School Lockers

I went to one of niece’s school last night to see her perform in one of their spring time performances. It was pretty cool, but it was strange being in a school once again. It has been some time since visiting one. School Lockers sure have changed since I went to school. Our Lockers used to be pretty big, but they have down sized them considerably and I don’t know how today’s kids fit everything into them, especially during the cold winter months with all the coats, hats and everything else that has to be worn to be kept warm and dry.

Now my Gym Locker was small, but I think most of them were. Ours were Wood Lockers and were in dire need of updating. And boy did they smell bad! I’m sure that that hasn’t changed during the years. LOL

Anyway, after the performance, when I got home I was on line and was prompted to Google “Lockers for sale” and was surprised at the different makes, models, shapes and sizes of the Lockers that are available today at Morelockers.com. I just don’t get why the schools have chosen to make today’s students so small, it just doesn’t seem right. But what do I know?

Mother Nature

Mother Nature is up to her old tricks once again. The news is full of the 4.4 earthquake that rocked California once again. The world’s gone crazy, you never know what you will be hearing on the morning news each morning any more. I’m glad that where I live doesn’t have a lot of extreme weather issues like the rest of the world is experiencing!

What’s a guy to do?

A couple of months ago Mark was involved in a car accident.  The accident wasn’t his fault, but his insurance company decided to drop him anyway!  I thought that was completely outrageous!  So I’ve been trying to help him find a new cheap auto insurance policy.  In this day and age you really need to have good coverage on your car!  The state requires everyone to have their vehicles insured in order to get their cars registered.  Once an insurance company drops you though, it gets a lot more difficult to get any kind of auto insurance, let alone cheap auto insurance.  One of the first things the agents ask you is you have been dropped by another company!  What a nightmare that can be!
