Lamppost

My wife has been talking about installing a lamppost at the end of the sidewalk at the intersection where it meets the driveway. She found a website that sells Sea Gull outdoor lighting and liked their selection of lamp posts. I’m always amazed when I go online how much of a variety of goods are available for sale. Locally the selection of products can be very limited at times, and this is one time that I’m glad to have the world at my fingertips!

My Harley room

My wife decided that she would let me decorate our bedroom with Harley Davidson themed stuff, and keep all of my motorcycle treasures there.  She said that way she doesn’t have to look at all my of motorcycle stuff scattered around all of the rooms in the house; they’d just all be concentrated there.  That’s fine by me!  She took down our old curtains and sewed some valance curtains out of some “flame” design material.  Each window’s roller blind tucks up under the valance so you don’t see it, but it is there when we need it to provide darkening or for privacy.

Local newspapers

I enjoy reading the local newspapers from time to time.  Especially the police blotter entries.  Not too long ago I read an entry where a man called the police to complain that his wife wouldn’t get out of bed to get the kids ready for school!  I showed the entry to my wife and we both had a good laugh over that!  Hey, guy, they’re YOUR kids too!  Get off your butt and get them ready for school yourself!  If your wife is sick, take her to the doctor’s or let her rest in bed while you bring her some tea and toast!  Good grief!

Surprise!

I was surprised earlier today when I walked past my wife’s laptop and saw that she was looking at some sexy adult costumes.  I wasn’t aware that we were invited to a Halloween party this year!  So now I’m wondering if she is planning a little private entertainment to spice up our night life!  That would be fine by me!

Dry skin

Although I’m not looking foward to having to heat the house because the heat really dries my skin, I’m glad that the really hot days of summer are behind us.  My favorite seasons are spring and autumn because the temperatures are so mild.  Unfortunately for me, I suffer from very dry skin and I have to run the humidifier all year long.  But winter seems to be the most difficult season for my skin – my thumbs get so dry that they crack open.  The only thing that seems to help is Zim’s crack cream, but I really don’t like the smell of it at all.  I wish they’d release a new formula with a different smell!
