I no longer want or need the old paper version of the local yellowpages, since I have the Internet at my disposal the majority of the time. Yesterday I went on a hunt to find all the phone books in the house yesterday and add them to the recycling bin that is reserved for paper products that gets picked up from the curb every Friday and taken to the recycling center. I was surprised to find that we had over a dozen of these books stashed here and there around the place, just sitting there collecting dust, two of them were from 2006 for goodness sake, so I had no problem collecting them all and getting them out of the house since none of us could even remember the last time we even had a use for any of them.
These days if I want to find information about a business, such as one of our wonderful local restaurants for example, going to a site such as Local.com is the only way to go. The heck with trying to find the most recent phone book in hopes that there might possibly have the listing for the restuarant in question, it is so much easier to quickly go online and find the information with a quick local search. Not only can you get the phone number and address, but in most cases you can get their hours, directions, a menu sample, reviews. make a reservation and other pertanent information that the old paper version of the yellowpages couldn’t possibly provide you with.
Anyway I have found that Local.com is a great resource and I would urge anyone to check them out and see all that it offers there. It also provides you will local events, activities and all types of useful coupons that you can use in your area as well. I was impressed enough to bookmark the site and to speak of it here. It’s all good!
