Do you remember taking a lot of different math classes in high school? I took a lot of what were called “College Prep” courses, and there were a lot of math classes that had to be taken before a college would even consider taking you. I did pretty well in most of the classes, but once I got into college and had to take statistics, well that was a whole different ball game!
I got quite confused about exactly how to solve the statistics problems that were assigned as homework. I had to sign up for free statistics help that the college offered in the way of a statistics tutor. That was the first time in my life that I ever needed that kind of help, and it was a humbling experience. But it sure did help! I actually passed the course with a B.
If you find that you need help with a class, don’t be afraid to ask the teacher for help in getting a free tutor. They will point you in the right direction. They may suggest an online tutor, or may suggest a face-to-face tutor. But one thing is for sure, if they care about you, as a student, they will help you out!
Most of us have heard the expression “Age is only a number” and the popular “Your only as old as you feel”. Well, I am a firm believer that those are more than expressions, those are a way of life for those who embrace it and live that way. Me and my husband have been married for 50 absolutely magical years. Even though I grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Michigan I was able to eventually cross paths with my future husband Bill while I was visiting some family out in California when I was only 12 years old. From that day on I knew Bill was for me and he tells me he also knew that I was for him. So, after birthing 5 children, living in 8 different states, and having 3 grandchildren it is to be expected we have slowed down a bit from our youth, at least for awhile anyway.
It was a typical Friday in Florida type weather when over our morning coffee Bill asked me how I would feel about if we sold the house and moved into a senior living facility. At first I was dead set against it. But after a few weeks Bill had convinced me to at least go over there and have a look. So reluctantly Bill and I went to the senior “campus” as they call it and as they say the rest is history. I absolutely loved the place! There were seniors everywhere, and they all where laughing and doing stuff. Four weeks later Bill and I moved in and the first night we went to a senior health spa to pamper ourselves. It was heaven! I didn’t want to leave the spa. The next night we were at an old time box dinner and I noticed that Bill and I seemed to be asking people to repeat things to us. But others were not asking us to repeat things. Then it clicked, everyone has hearing aids but Bill and I. So, Bill and I got a hearing test, which proved we both had hearing loss. Two hearing aids later and it was like a whole new world opened up to us and we were kids again! I felt like a teenager. staying out late and “playing” with our new friends in the center and hearing every bit of it! Age really is only a number.
Do you remember ever having a Mexican Jumping Bean as a kid? I can remember a few times when my father would bring some home to us to play with. They were really interesting to watch! I just found a video that talks about, and educates about the Mexican Jumping Bean. I found it interesting and entertaining. Hope you do too!
VH-1 has to take credit for the Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab series that has been airing these past couple of years. Drug Detox and Alcohol Rehab is a serious problem that is growing worse each day. The economy can be blamed for a good amount of this over whelming issue of addiction that is affecting celebrities and the rest of society as well. This show is allowing the public to see that this Residential Drug Rehab can be effective and is making life changing events happen and that there is hope out there for all of us who are effected by this addiction problem.
I have a close friend that attended a Tennessee Drug Rehab last year and it did wonders for the man. It saved his health, his marriage and his career, He still has a lot of work to do but so far so good, I know it isn’t an easy road to take so I’m very proud of him and his family for sticking with it.
The Internet is a great tool to utilize to find the best Rehab center and all the information concerning them. There are a lot of good places out there and a few bad ones of course. It would pay to do your homework before jumping in.
I’m the first to admit that I don’t know that much about gold or bullion. But I am learning a bit about it from a co worker of mine that has taken a sudden interest in how to buy gold bullion. We have all heard that gold is a great investment and how the price of gold has been increasing. We are being bombarded with advertisements urging us to sell our old, unused and unwanted gold for top dollar prices. It is a big thriving business these days and a lot of people are turning to these places in an effort to get some extra cash to help pay the credit card bills that are making life so difficult in this screwed up economy that we have found ourselves right in the middle of.
Anyway this guy is learning how to buy bullion and gold coins and has been utilizing the website of goldcoinsgain.com. Since we have Internet access at work we get to go online throughout the day and since we are all jammed in there so close to each other it’s hard to keep anything to yourself and we usually share what we find with each other anyway. We spend so much time together, it’s a good thing that we get along as well as we do and have so many common interests and right now it seems to be gold bullion that has got us interested and finding ourselves learning about.
