Anyway she keeps busy after school and on the weekends playing “girl games” online. They have come a long way with the selection of girl games that are available these days. There was a major outcry for more girl games about 10 years ago and they have tried to fill the void to accommodate the female population that likes to play games with all of today’s technology and gadgets.

I think Ms Pac Man was actually the first video game that was aimed at the more feminine crowd. We have come a long way since the 80’s haven’t we. If I had all the money that I spent on those games that were in all of the popular bars and taverns, I’d have a nice check book balance.

Every summer I like to take my family to the A Maze’n Farmyard in Eden Valley, Minnesota. It is a day trip that we all look forward to each summer. I pile everyone into the car, pack some snacks, and start our trip. Before I leave I make sure I set my security choice alarm system in my house. Our destination is only an hour’s drive from our house. Everyone enjoys the day, from my youngest toddler to my teenager.

When we get to the A Maze’n Farmyard, the highlight is the barn where the smaller animals are kept. The children can enter the pens to pet the animals. They have a variety of animals, from kittens and puppies to goats and pigs. After we pry the children away from the petting area, we head out to the maze to see how well we can find our way through the maze. The gigantic slide is also a big attraction. Occasionally we will play a game of mini-golf after we visit the animals.

After the children are tired of petting the animals and going down the slide, we usually get a small snack in the gift shop. They have a variety of snack foods so everyone can choose their favorite. At the end of the day, we pile back into the car and head home while the children tell us their favorite animals they saw at the A Maze’n Farmyard.

You could call me a connoisseur of reality TV. That might be an insult to a lot of scripted TV purists out there, but I embrace reality TV for what it truly is: trashy, disposable entertainment. True, there are the shows out there that are high quality like American Idol but I prefer the ones where a bunch of dramatic people live in a house together with no goals except partying and fighting.

The new season in Miami is less than a month away and I’m already all over the show’s official message boards. I used my wildblue satellite internet service to live chat during last season and it made the show and drama even that much better.

I’ve been following the show ever since the first season and when I heard rumors about cast mates live chatting with viewers I searched for internet providers MN because my dial-up probably wouldn’t work for that. It didn’t’ really work for anything else I wanted to do online unless I had a day to send an e-mail.

I’m not sure if this season’s cast can live up to the last season’s, which was definitely the most dramatic to date.

I believe that this year I will be looking online to find her favorite Cologne. Good thing she still has a little left in the bottle on her dresser for me to get the name off of the darn thing. I can never remember what it is called, even after 30 years of being with the woman! The Internet will make finding one of her favorite Fragrances a much easier task to take on. It was a real pain in the rear in the years before the Internet when I used to have to bounce around from store to store in order to find it each time. A man like me just doesn’t feel comfortable in the Perfume department, ya know what I’m saying?

Anyway I do believe that a nice dinner and a nice gift will make it an evening to remember, at least until the next one rolls around in only 12 months.

Well, those are all novel ideas, but I’ll tell you this – give me a standard hotel room, complete with fancy bedroom sets that include a dresser and night stands, and a real bathroom with a shower in it! When I travel, I need room to stretch, and I don’t want to have to wait in line with a with a bunch of strangers to use a bathroom in the middle of the night!

So I was quite excited last summer when my brother-in-law offered to let me run his jet ski when we were visiting. I really had a lot of fun that time! Instead of having to depend on the in-laws for a boat ride that I really didn’t want to go on, I spent most of my time riding that jet ski.

What was even better was that at the end of the summer, my brother-in-law gave me the jet ski to keep! He said he wasn’t interested in using it any more. So now I have one of my own! How awesome is that!
