I don’t know if I prefer daylight savings time, or standard time, but I DO know one thing. I don’t like changing the clocks back and forth! I’ve heard that the clocks are going to be set back in less than 2 weeks. I don’t mind that time change as much, I think that it is safer for the kids to not have to stand out in the dark in the morning while waiting for the school bus. But I don’t like how my stomach, and my body, just don’t adjust to the change easily. Research has shown that the changing of the clocks back and forth really don’t conserve any resources. I wish they’d just pick a time and stick with it.

There was a nationwide recall of garlic bread in Australia a few years ago, including the garlic bread sold by Domino’s Pizza. The recall happened because the bread turned blue when it was baked. The company that makes the garlic bread says that they don’t believe that the bread is a health hazard, but recalled it anyway. They have no explanation as to why it turns blue, they think it has something to do with the type of garlic that they used for this particular batch. I don’t think that makes a lot of sense, I’ve never heard of garlic turning blue when it is baked – and if there WAS a garlic that turns blue when baked it seems to me that would be widely known in the culinary arts industry to begin with. I think it sounds fishy to me! I wonder if they ever found anything out about what caused that!

Melanie Collins seems to be popping up everywhere these days, so I decided to take a look on the Internet and find more out about her. She has her own blog that has some interesting stories and photos to share with her readers that I spent some time reading. I have to admit she is a hottie and is making big waves in today’s huge sports and entertainment news arena. I guess a hot looking blond would catch the attention of the many sports fans across the country.
Check out this pics that I found online of Ms. Melanie Collins who graduated from Penn State University in the year 2008.
She looks damned good in black leather, wouldn’t you agree?

I was told some time ago about a really cool website that I should check out at http://yitzgrossmanlawrence.com. Unfortunate for me I didn’t take quick action on it, but last night I had a few minutes to kill online and I’m glad that I did take the time to find it and see for myself. You see this is a site run and written by a rabbi by the name of Yitz Grossman and he has the most awesome posts written filled with not only love and compassion, but with a good amount of humor as well.
The first post that Yitz Grossman had on his page last night was about a women Irena Sendler who died in 2008 at the age of 98 and who did so much for the Jews in WWII and who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was not selected although President Obama won the year before becoming President for his work as a community organizer for ACORN and Al Gore also won for a slide show on Global Warming. Both great causes, but nothing in comparison to what this woman had gone through and done for so many people during the time of the awful Nazis regime back then.
I have bookmarked this rabbi’s site and plan on going back and visiting from time to time and I would urge others to take a look-see around this wonderful site as well.
