Easter eggs (free clip art)

Easter eggs (free clip art)

We had some fun hiding Easter Eggs in the back yard for the neighborhood kids to hunt for. The dogs thought we were crazy. I could not believe how much work is involved stuffing little candies into plastic eggs. Hiding them was fun, tho, and watching the kids collecting them was even more fun. I’m glad the weather was nice so we could all enjoy Easter this year.

One of the things that I love about being a personal assistant/concierge is the wide variety of things that I end up doing for my clients. There never seems to be a dull moment when I have two or three clients that want me to help them out at the same time! I’m really glad that I have my sister Ellie available to lend me a hand sometimes when I appear to be double booked. Just last week I needed to be in two places at once, so I asked Ellie to go house-sit at one client’s while waiting for the technician from the air conditioning repair boca raton company to show up to do the tune-up on Sue’s air conditioner while I took Jay-Jay’s pet powderpuff chinese crested dog to the groomer’s for his appointment.

Ellie is always glad to help out on the rare occasion of me getting double-booked. I always give her the “easier” job to do, and she usually gets paid to just sit on her rear-end and watch television while waiting for someone to show up and do something. While the dog is at the groomer’s I’ve got to run a couple of errands all over town for Jay-Jay, so I’ll be earning my pay today, that is for certain! I don’t mind, though, I enjoy getting out of the house and getting paid to run errands is fine by me!

Trophies trinkets and kittens

When we first got our kittens we knew that we were going to have to take some pretty extreme measures to keep our collections of pewter, trinkets, and trophies safe from the playful destruction that kittens bring to a house. It has been several years since we had so much mischief wrapped in fur running around the house! My wife has suggested that we wrap our etagere with thick clear vinyl to protect the pewter and crystal collection but so far they have not discovered that corner of the living room. I think that she is probably right, and I plan to go buy some vinyl the next time I’m in town.

You decide

I came across this YouTube video of an elephant in a zoo painting a picture of poppies. There has been some controversy over whether the training methods used to teach an elephant how to paint a picture is cruel or not. I have not seen the training methods, so I don’t know if they are or not. Having trained dogs in the past, using treats as rewards, I suspect that it is possible to train elephants using rewards. Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool to see the elephant painting poppies, don’t you?

Just Not Funny

Last night my wife was watching America’s Funniest Videos.  I was having a bowl of my favorite ice cream of the month at the table and started watching it too.  There were some videos that were amusing, like the cute babies, the funny dancing and of course the wacky animal clips, but I was surprised how many videos were on the air that involved people getting hurt.  How is getting hurt funny?
