Seeing as the economy has been in the toilet for way longer than anyone ever thought it would be and with no end in sight we are all coming up with more ways to make our dollars work harder and stretch longer than ever before. Telecommuting had been around for some time but it has really taken off in the past decade or so and these wonderful serviced offices are springing up in record numbers.

I have a good friend that I used to work with ages ago that just recently moved his family and his business to Chicago and is taking advantage of serviced office spaces chicago and couldn’t be happier with all that it offers him and the other people and businesses that are in serviced offices chicago style along with him. It is a great way to start a small business (or maintain a current business as well). You get to have a city address, much less overhead is involved and the spaces are very affordable from what he tells me. I would really like to see more of these serviced offices come into play all across the country and most likely I will the way things are going.

I was told some time ago about a really cool website that I should check out at http://yitzgrossmanlawrence.com. Unfortunate for me I didn’t take quick action on it, but last night I had a few minutes to kill online and I’m glad that I did take the time to find it and see for myself. You see this is a site run and written by a rabbi by the name of Yitz Grossman and he has the most awesome posts written filled with not only love and compassion, but with a good amount of humor as well.

The first post that Yitz Grossman had on his page last night was about a women Irena Sendler who died in 2008 at the age of 98 and who did so much for the Jews in WWII and who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was not selected although President Obama won the year before becoming President for his work as a community organizer for ACORN and Al Gore also won for a slide show on Global Warming. Both great causes, but nothing in comparison to what this woman had gone through and done for so many people during the time of the awful Nazis regime back then.

I have bookmarked this rabbi’s site and plan on going back and visiting from time to time and I would urge others to take a look-see around this wonderful site as well.

There has been so much talk about our health care system that it really has taken it’s toll on so many people, especially our senior citizens. I’m glad that there is information out on the Internet to help our disabled folks and our senior citizens figure out and navigate through all of the various options out there.

My folks are getting a bit freaked out themselves with their medicare issues and have turned to the Internet to find out more about the medicare part d that has come under fire lately. I just wish that more seniors would and could use the Internet for things such as this, but unfortunately a lot of them are still intimidated by the whole World Wide Web. My folks actually found a senior group that offered classes to other seniors to learn how to use and get around online which I really think was a great idea and I wish that there more options out there available.

I have to be honest, I have never been a big fan of the state of New Jersey. I have driven through New Jersey countless times, hard not to do when traveling up and/or down the east coast and I’ve visited a few friends in various parts of “The Garden State” called New Jersey, so I have seen more to it than just looking out the window while traveling on the few Interstates that take you through the state. Not a single time did I see anything that closely justified the nick name “The Garden State” since all that I ever see is the factories and smoke stacks and the pollution and the smells and all the other darkness that comes along with all of that type of industry going on there. And if I remember correctly darkness just isn’t what “Gardens” are all about.

I understand that thebig hit TV show “The Jersey Shore” that MTV is successfully cranking out season after season, has created a new interest in New Jersey and all that it has to offer people, most just like me that haven’t seen the beauty of the state in the past. They have been trying to clean up their reputation and get people to stop their cars and take the time to visit.

I do have a buddy who moved to New Jersey recently and is now trying to find employment, hopefully with Arosa Solar Energy Systems. After receiving his last email telling me that he had an interview lined up with them, I went online and checked out their website which was pretty interesting reading. I didn’t know that some utility companies will buy back from you any of your unused solar generated energy, at their peak rates even, that’s pretty cool. It seems that Arosa Solar is busy with providing solar power to residential and commercial customers that are interested in New Jersey solar energy for a variety of reasons, all good ones. The cash incentives are always welcomed I’m sure which are listed on this web site as well.

I’m really hoping that my bud will be hired, it is right up his alley and would be a good fit. He moved his new wife and baby, their two German Shepherds there with high hopes, a tough move right now in these days of such uncertain economic stress. Crisis after crisis for heaven’s sake, no wonder more people have stopped watching the nightly news. Anyway, next time I think of New Jersey, maybe it will be of New Jersey solar panels and other alternative energy options more and more and less of those daunting smoke stacks. That would be a most welcomed change.

OK, I’ve been hearing a lot of talk about Online Trading here lately, so I’ve taken a bit of time to look online and find out a bit more about today”s IRA Accounts and other Stocks, Mutual Funds and ETFs along with all the other Stock Trading Options that are out there for folks who are turning to Online Broker opportunities.

I haven’t spent much time dabbling into stocks in such a long time, but there was a time that I was spending some money and spending more time worrying about all what could go wrong, and certainly some of it did. I ended up pulling out before I it really got bad and really didn’t have more to do with it and never thought that I would again.

Firstrade.com was recommended to me by a good friend who has recently started researching these complicated, but sometimes lucrative Stock Trading deals, so since it is supposed to be raining again all week, I’ll be spending some time on the computer at firstrade.com trying to refresh this old memory and learn a thing or two as well about the world of high finance in the 21st century!

I had the chance to watch a couple episodes of the new hit show on VH1 “Mob Wives” that I’ve been hearing about from several people that have been following it the past couple of months. It is actually a pretty entertaining show that follows four very strong Mob Wives in their daily lives that are trying to deal with life while their “main men” are behind bars.

Renee seems to be the “ring leader” and she has come up with an interesting concept for people to communicate with their loved ones that are locked up,using the Internet and called Jail Mail Inc. So today I went online and Googled “Jail Mail Inc” and I’m pleased to read that this really is a project in the works and I would encourage anyone who has someone close to them who is serving time to check out her website and possibly take advantage of Renee’s long time dream of making it easier to keep in touch with their locked up loved ones via the Internet. It should be up and running by the end of the summer. I’ll keep checking to see her progress and I’ll be watching the Mob Wives season finale at 8:00 tonight to see what these four ladies are up to this week, I’m sure it will be exciting!

There is nothing worse than constantly being falsely accused of dirty deeds or actions and having no way to prove your innocence. It is too bad that they don’t sell lie detectors for the general public to use. At least I don’t think that they do. I have never tried to find one for sale, but maybe when I’m done with this post I just might look around (eBay and/or Amazon for starters) and see if they are being offered and sold to the general public.

Since I’m sure that isn’t the case, it would be nice to be able to trot down to your local police station and have them do the testing for you since our tax dollars have paid for the devices. Imagine all the hard feelings that something like this could help with. I know that I’d be the first one in line at this point and that is all I will say on the subject right now.

Last night one of the last things that I saw on my computer screen was a story about some one getting in trouble with the police because they paid a $25 debt with a bag of 2,500 pennies. I didn’t get to read the story and it was on my mind throughout the evening and then today I couldn’t seem to get it out of my mind. Strange how some things just do that to a person. So the first thing that I did when I got home tonight, I got onto my laptop and started searching for the story that had my mind all a flurry for too long.

?According to Yahoo.com a medical patient in Utah attempted to pay a disputed $25 medical bill entirely in pennies. He is said to have first asked the clinic if they accepted cash payments to which they told him that they did and then he dumped the 2,500 pennies onto the counter and demanded that they be counted.

To think that they police were called into this is just so absurd

The amount of muscle cars that are being seen with large “For Sale” signs on them all around town. The one main road between the two towns is know for the numerous vehicles that can be found for sale while driving between the two. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pulled over and taken a closer look at what is being offered. The past year it seems that there are more muscle cars then anything else on that long stretch of road with a few of the older antique junk cars that will most likely stay there a good long while looking at the shape that they are in.

For a while we saw the majority of vehicles that were being sold were the SUVs and other gas guzzling vehicles that were so popular in the 90′s before the energy crisis hit us hard enough to where folks were dumping their SUVs for anything that they could get for them. This made sense to me, but I’m trying to figure out what is going on with all of the muscle cars being seen up for sale for so darn cheap recently. Anybody have any thoughts, clues or idea on the subject?

I don’t think that anyone in the military would have ever thought that the color green would be such a hot topic for the 21st Century. So many guys that I know that served in Vietnam still can’t stand the color green anywhere around them, like in their clothes, their cars, in their homes, except maybe some of the Army guys, the color green is a major turn-off in any shade, besides money. Now isn’t that ironic, but that is for another time.

Right now “Green” is a major buzz word that has the world seeking ways to improve the way that we treat our Mother Earth. I don’t think we can really do anything to fix what we have done, but there certainly are a lot of ways for us to do a much better job in protecting what is left of her. From recycling cans, bottles and papers to interesting and ever changing and growing initiatives by corporations to reduce their company’s carbon footprint and utilizing Organic Software.

There are so many ways to help become as green as possible. My most recent effort was switching to an Eco-Friendly web hosting. There are many web hosting providers out there that are targeting the green movement. It is interesting to read up on the variety of things that are being tried and that are being advertised heavily. I would encourage anyone to do a bit of looking around online, ask friends, family, co workers, who ever and see if they are aware of the webhosting business going green and see what they know and have to say. There are many webhosting review and rating sites available on line that do a great job in taking the legwork out of having to look here, there and virtually everywhere.

I find myself watching MSNBC more and more. They do have a good selection of shows and series that I find interesting. Their coverage on prisons and prison life all across the country is always a trip to watch. If these shows don’t persuade people to do what they can in order to stay out of prison I don’t know what will.

Dateline’s To Catch A Predator is another one that just makes me want to watch these creatures that call themselves men get what they deserve and have it all captured on film for the whole world to see. The ones that come back for a second time should be castrated, but that’s just my opinion.
