Got off work early today so we could pack up and prepare for a trip to Mom’s camp for the long weekend. This is a long-established family tradition, going to Mom’s camp for the 4thof July weekend! We’ll be meeting up withmy parents and my brothers and sisters and their families. The camp is overflowing with people, laughing and teasing and tripping over each other. We’ll be water-skiing and tubing and riding on jet-skis most of the weekend. Someone always brings fireworks and shoots them out over the water right as it starts to get dark on the 4th. The kids will be toasting marshmallows and eating s’mores while the adults reminisce about the good ol’ days. At the end of the weekend we’ll all be tired and ready to go back home, but sad to see each other leave. Yeah, it’s a good family tradition.
