Today’s students are at such an advantage with all that the World Wide Web has to offer them in their educations. I can’t even imagine how my education would have turned if we had had access to the Internet. They now even have Online tutoring for just about ever subject one could need. I certainly could have used some Free math tutoring online back in High School. Math and I just really never hit it off. I don’t know what I’d do with out my calculator that I always have close at hand when ever numbers are being crunched.
I had to rely on my brothers and sisters for help and that didn’t always work out so grand. And I do remember that I did spend a good amount of time staying after school for additional help. My mother did manage to find a nice neighbor that would come over once in a while a lend a hand with some Statistics help, but nothing like jumping online and getting help when ever you need it when it comes to hard core Math answers.

I have several friends that belong to the local Elks lodge in town and they have been trying for years to get me to join and become a full time member of their lodge. They are holding a meeting tonight and I have been asked to come and see what they are all about. Guess I’ll go, just won’t make any commitments just yet.

If you ask the normal person about the majority of computer questions, like what is colocation or managed hosting, I do believe that most wouldn’t have a clue as to what you are referring to. Those of us who work on computers for a living have access to some type of IT support that know all that there is to know about the workings of computers inside and out.
I’d like to believe that most of us know a bit about web hosting. There are a good amount of web hosting available. And I’m glad to hear that several are doing what they can in order to become as green as possible. So if you are looking into web hosting I would encourage you to check out the different options out there. The Internet is a great tool to find the perfect match for you.
Be nice to your IT they are important people, too bad you can’t take them home with you.

For the past couple of months I have been waking up with the most horrible back ache. It stays with me most of the day and no over the counter pain relievers have been even taking the edge of it. I’m assuming that it is due to my old mattress. I couldn’t even tell you how old it is, but I’m sure that I’m due for a new one. One that will take away this horrible backache, or at least I’m hope so.

My wife has been talking about taking a course in cad drawing. She spent a large part of her adult life drafting work orders for the telephone company and she really enjoyed doing that type of work. And she says that she would really like to do that type of work again. But most of the job wanted ads for that type of work indicate that the succesful candidate will have experience in cad.

I’ve never met anyone with a greener thumb than my own mother. I never really paid that much attention to the house and the yard that we grew up in back then. I mean I knew that we had a nice yard and that the neighbors were always complimenting her on her landscaping ideas and her green thumb, but it was still just a yard to a kid like me that always had to be moving and on the go, usually on my bicycle back then.
We had two very nice outdoor planters at the end of the front walk way that my mother always managed to have something colorful and alive growing in them all year round. I’ve never seen another outddor planter that looks remotely close to them and my mother doesn’t remember where she got them or what even happened to them after we all grew up and left home. My folks were back on their own in a large empty house that they eventually sold and moved across town and down sized a bit.
My mother still likes her outside work, but she has a hard time with the extreme heat that we have all been experiencing this summer. She has focused more on the inside of the house this year rather than the yard and the gardens. She found some nice indoor planters on the Internet that she has placed in various locations around the place and it looks real good. Everything is blooming and it helps the house smell real good. Plants are a good healthy thing to have in your home.
I didn’t get any part of my mother’s green thumb. I have jut the one indoor planter that I received as a Christmas gift years ago. I’ve tried to grow things in and have long since given up and just use it for an ash tray for visiting smokers that end up in the garage getting their nicotine fix on.

I can’t help but wonder what we are to look forward to this year as far as the flu goes. I’m not hearing anything about a swine flu concern so I’m really interested to hear what to be ready for; the weather is going to be changing real soon and flu season is right around the corner.

The house that I grew up in had Ceiling Fans in just about every room. My mother insisted that my father install them in each bedroom, the dining room, the kitchen, the den and the living room when they first purchased and moved in the place back in the 60′s. When I moved out of my parents house and went out on my own I didn’t consider that I’d be sleeping in a room without the circulation that I’d grown accustomed to all of my life. A Ceiling Fan makes a big difference in my night’s sleep. Not only is the circulation important, but the cool breeze and the slight white noise that it provides is all included in my total “sleep package” if you will. If I plan on sleeping away from home I certainly can’t be toting a Ceiling Fan around with me but I do take a good sized box fan that seems to do the trick most of the time.
The Ceiling Fan that is currently in my master bedroom has been making some pretty freaky noises the past couple of weeks, I just keep forgetting about it during the day and by the time I hear the darn thing, I’m ready for bed and keep putting it off time and time again. So today I’m spending a bit of time online and am researching different types of Ceiling Fans and I think I’ve found the perfect one at the Hansen Wholesale Ceiling Fans website of hansenwholesale.com. They have a decent selection of Eco Fans in an effort to offer green products in today’s every growing greener demanding consumers. Right now with the promo code of Promo Code: N932502530 they will pay the tax on your order, plus they offer free shipping.

I never realized that our son J was interested in fine linens until we took him shopping last month for the things that he needed for his new apartment. When we went out I thought it would only take an hour or two to grab a few things and toss them in the shopping cart. I sure was surprised when we were in the bedding department and he spent at least an hour picking out his bedding. If it had been me, I would have just grabbed the cheapest set and been done with it!

I was very disturbed today when I went into my local drugstore to buy some vitamins and saw that the expiration date on the bottle I picked up was October of 2008! I brought that bottle to the attention of the store manager, and she thanked me for bringing it to her attention and said she’d take care of it. I decided to spot check a few other items at the store while I was there because I was curious to see if that was an isolated accident. Sad to say that I found quite a few things that had passed the expiration date. I guess I’ll be checking expiration dates on more things that I buy in the future!
