My wife has been buying some more dangling earrings lately, and has run out of places to store them. She’s been looking at buying a new earring tree, but can’t seem to find any that she likes. And they are wicked expensive to boot! So I decided I’d try to help her out and do a little bit of looking around about a quick, cheap and easy way to make her something that she might be able to use. I found a website about instructions on how to make things, and found some suggestions about just taking an inexpensive splatter pan, bend the handle, and put the earrings in the mesh holes! I think that is absolute genius! I know we have at least one unused splatter pan around here! Now to figure out where to put it – that is going to be the real challenge! I’m thinking about just not even bending the handle, and just put a hook in the wall behind the bedroom door. I think that will work out just fine, don’t you?
My wife is thinking of ways to spend the money that we should be receiving shortly from our taxes. We did pretty good this year, and are trying to come up with the best ways to utilize the new found money. Both of us could use some new clothes, we have been watching our pennies so closely these past few years that we haven’t spent much on things that weren’t absolutely necessary. So it would be nice to take just a bit of the refund cash and find some great online deals for a few things.
Dave’s New York has a website that I have had bookmarked for some time now. I’ve got my eye on a nice carhartt shirt, they’ve a great variety of top brand named clothing for good prices for their online shoppers. I used to have a carhartt sweatshirt, but it got ruined, big time, years ago and I’ve missed it, so I think that I’m due a new one by now. I like the look of this one that they are offering for under $50. It is a nice heavyweight zippered and hooded carhartt sweatshirt that would help keep my head and neck warm come next winter.
At Dave’s New York they have a 30 day return policy which gives you plenty of time to process a return, if needed. They’ve been selling clothes for over 45 years and they have a store in New York city as well. But since I don’t intend on visiting New York any time soon I’ll be more than happy to utilize their website for now.

I am so happy that I have started saving videos onto my Favorite’s List on You Tube. I have been finding so many awesome songs that I can play at any given time on my laptop. I wish I had started this list years ago, I have a lot of catching up to do.
Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, you can’t get much better than that!
And saving the best for the last:
While looking for a mobile broadband to sign up for my wife, I came across a blog that was featuring posts about data cards and USB Modems and mobile broadband in India. It looked like a very impressive collection of reviews. Reading those reviews, I became even more frustrated that it appears that there are a lot of good mobile broadband providers overseas, yet I am having trouble finding one over here!
In this great country of ours I fail to understand why we can’t get good service at a reasonable cost. If we are to remain competitive in this global economy, these kinds of services need to be affordable to more people. I can only hope that the prices of these services come down in the near future. These are important tools that we will need to survive.
Recently I decided that I’d like to be able to find a provider of unlimited mobile broadband. At least, that’s what I think it’s called! I’d like for my wife to be able to take her laptop and connect to the Internet anywhere she goes. And I’d like for her to not be charged any extra fees for anything. I see most of the providers restrict you to a certain number of “data” downloads, and that is not what I’m looking for. I want unlimited! Why is that so hard to find? From what I’m seeing, only Alltell has that unlimited plan, and they have been sold to Verizon, so that unlimited plan is probably going to be eliminated pretty quickly, if it hasn’t been already! If I can’t find a plan that we can afford, I’ll just have to tell my wife that she is going to just have to keep looking for free Wifi hotspots around town. I understand that gets real old real fast, but I’m not willing to pay an arm and a leg for Internet on the road!
