I was not very happy earlier today to discover stink bugs on the inside of the patio door! I’ve been lucky so far to never smell what a dead stink bug smells like, but I’ve talked with quite a few people who HAVE and they assure me that I really do NOT want to kill a stink bug. They say that the smell is awful and it lasts for days. So I tried to gently ease the bug outside with a few nudges with a tissue. The durn thing dropped down into the curtains. After a few minutes of searching through the curtains, I found it again and picked it up (very gently) and took it outside. I tried to shake it loose from the tissue, but the bug was holding onto the tissue for dear life! All the time I was hoping that it would not release it’s infamous stink. I finally scraped it off on the edge of the deck and it dropped to the ground.
I wish people would stop leaving the door open; I don’t enjoy having bugs in the house!
