Movie Music

Sometimes I hear music in a movie and I recognize it it, like in the movie, “Legend” they play a lot of Bob Marley music.

Other times, the movie introduces new music to me. Like, I was watching an old, obscure movie called, “The Commitments.” It has some great old blues songs in it – some I never heard before. But a good one in that movie is “Mustang Sally.” That’s a classic!

When I was looking for a video on YouTube, I saw the trailer for the Hobbit movie posted. Remembering that I had posted about that exact movie just a short while ago I decided to watch the trailer and share it with you here. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing it when it comes out!

Tonight we are watching the movie The Princess Bride. I haven’t seen that movie in about six years, and right now we are watching the fencing scene. This is such a good movie; each time I watch it I notice something else that I had either not noticed before, or at least had forgotton since the last time that I had watched it. I was trying to find a YouTube clip of that scene to share with you, but every one that I’ve seen so far has the embedding disabled. Oh well… I encourage you to watch the movie for yourself if youget the chance, it is truly a classic!

Redbox broken

Went up to the local 7-11 store this morning to use the Redbox machine to rent the Mission Impossible movie to take home and watch with my in-laws. When I got up there my credit card wouldn’t work! I tried a different card, and it wouldn’t work either! There was a line of four people behind me, so this was very embarrassing. Using my cell phone, I called my wife and asked her why was I having trouble with my credit cards. She told me that there should not be an problem with the cards, it is probably some problem with the telephone lines that the Redbox is hooked up to. It’s a rainy day and there have been a lot of solar storms lately, so she assured me that it was probably just a problem with the machine. I came home empty handed, and annoyed, but what can you do? Technology is great when it works!
