Higher Education

In this ever-growing world of technology, people are going to need to learn more than your basic math skills.  The business world is getting more complicated, and the employers are expecting their employees to come to them with a good solid education.  It’s getting so that it is hard to get even a basic job with only a high school diploma.  Largely, I think, because the public schools are not doing their jobs in preparing the children for employment nor to further their education, it’s more like bring them in and get them out as soon as possible for new ones to fill their spots.

Having said that, I think that many schools are trying.  My friends have been telling me that their kids have been coming home from school in fourth grade asking them for algebra help on their math homework.  Many of my friends have forgotten how to do it, or never learned it in the first place!  So there seems to be a growing need for algebra tutoring services.  Not every parent is able to help their kids with these kinds of problems! So I think that it’s great that people can access an online algebra tutor and get both algebra 1 and algebra 2 help for free.

Hot Vacation Spots

One thing that is really neat about working in a large office is that I have a lot of friends. There always seems to be something going on and new things to hear about. My friend Bob was telling me about how he and his family had spent their summer vacation at an Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotel. He said they had a great time and told me more about it.

Bob has traveled to many places in his life. When it comes to finding the best places to go, I trust his judgment. When he said that Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotels were the place to be, I believed him. Bob liked the fact that the service was great and that the view of the ocean was so nice.

Bob also told me about the great time that the kids had. They went to play on the shores of the ocean and enjoyed the sunny weather. Bob was able to get in a round of golf at one of the local courses and his wife caught up on her shopping. Bob had a serious look on his face when he told me that a great vacation could be found at a Myrtle Beach Hotel. I believe everything he said was true and I am now thinking about taking my family on a trip to Myrtle Beach.

It’s Time

With my in-laws still needing to stay at our place for a few more months we have really got to figure out how to keep this place from getting so cluttered up. Merging multiple families into a house that was designed for one family can certainly be a challenge! When my wife tells me about how back in the “bad old days” entire families of eight or more people used to live in one-room houses I just have to shake my head in wonderment! The room that my in-laws are currently staying in was what we used to use as our “office” and now we really need to find a desk; a computer desk would be perfect, that we can stick in a corner in the family room and use for the duration of their stay, however long that might be.

I have looked at a couple of our local flea markets, as well as a few of the thrift stores and I just haven’t found the right type of desk that will work for what we want and need. So I’ve decided to just go ahead a find a good quality computer desk online and so far I have not yet figured out which place has the best variety and good prices. It just irks me to buy something new, but when it’s time, it’s time and believe me, it is time.

During my childhood, I remember several times coming home from school or a visit from a friend’s house, finding myself not having my key to the back door and having to go to the “rock of the month” that my mother had chosen to place the extra hidden key to allow us access to the house in case these kinds of situations came up. It was always a challenge remembering which rock to look under, since it changed each month. My mother insisted on changing the location of the extra key for safety reasons, even though it was in the back yard and couldn’t be seen by anyone from the street, but who knows who could be lurking in the bushes or the neighbor’s yard.

It really would have been great to have had the keyless lock technology in place that they now have to offer with their keyless lock products that are readily available today. Just imagine using your finger print to gain access to your home. No more looking through tons of keys trying to locate your house key when you are in a hurry or in the dark, by having a keyless lock in place you just place your finger tip on the lock and you’re in like flint! Some thing to look into for sure.

Read, Love and Learn

In consideration of all that has been going on here at the house with my in-laws health issues that has made it to where they are staying here at our place until they get back on their feet, I saw this and thought it appropriate to post it here today.
